Hi,

I am working on SLES Linux guest, I have some queries in using virual block device (xvd)  in Linux guest.

    1) How to identify exported xvd[a-z] device is read-only device?. I am finding file called "ro" under /sys/block/xvda directory set to "1" for SLES11 guest, but I am not finding the same on SLES10 guest.

    2) Is scsi inquiry commands are supported on xvd type devices? Currently, I am using information available under "/sys/block/xvd" directory, are there any alternate approaches?

    3) How to identify whether Linux machine is XEN guest or not?

Thanks n regards,
Rajesh Nagarajan.
