Thanks Mike, after removing network manager,  I am able to connect to external network. But I still didn't get what and why was network manager creating problem?

Do you have network-manager installed?
dpkg -I network-manager

If you do remove it.  Another check you can do see if peth0 has an ip address associated with it.

Hi,
I too am facing similar kind of problem.
I am using xen3.2 over 2.6.24-19 linux kernel and using ubuntu-hardy.
While in dom0, I am not able to connect to external network.
When I start dom0, I get following messages in /var/log/xen/xend.log

'brctl show' displays only one bridge i.e. eth0 along with peth0 in interfaces column.
When I try to stop xend, eth0 interface gets disabled. Only peth0 remains.
At this stage 'brctl show' displays two bridges.
Enabling eth0 interface manually also doesn't work.
At present I am not running any domU over it.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Ashutosh
