ipmi driver don't specify the device number.
So ipmidev's number is not always 254.
if you want to know the number, you can see by using "ls -l /dev/ipmi0'.

FYI, I can use 'ipmitool sensor' with ipmitool-1.6.0+RHEL5.1.
