I have seen the same panic five different times now, on two
different machines, identical hardware, both running 64bit version
of Xen 3.1.0 as obtained from the tarballs on xensource.com
Twice I caused it directly by trying to turn off the avahi daemon,
and three other times it appears that the avahi daemon was active
either on dom0 or domU or both at about the time of the panic, i.e.
that is the last action that appears in the logs just before the
system hung.
I don't really need the avahi daemon and am turning it off.
Have crashed two machines that way--once when I turned it off in a dom0
and again when I turned it off in a domU.. the latter is disturbing
that a crash on the domu would kill the whole machine.
Has anyone else seen this kernel panic? Is it more general
than being avahi-associated?
Thanks
Steve Timm
