Re: [Xen-users] xen_net: Memory squeeze in netback driver.
We had these before. I was never able to get a clear answer except that it was fixed in a later version of Xen. Having switched to 3.0.4, the problem did go away.
Apparently his has something to do with free memory available to the hypervisor. At one point we limited our Dom0 and DomUs until there was free RAM to the hypervisor. This shows up as "free_memory" when you do an "xm info".
We also gave spare room to the DomUs. I'm not sure if this really gets used but I know it was related to fixing the other problem. To do this, we used the max_mem On Mar 5, 2007, at 2:41 PM, Edward Muller wrote: We've started getting a lot of these errors:

Then one of the domUs basically became unusable and had to be restarted.
So, does this mean we need to add more ram to the Dom0? We have dom0 mem=536870912, but it currently looks like the dom0 has about 1.7GB of RAM as seen via cat /proc/meminfo: MemTotal: 1720320 kB
This is something new. We did reboot the server yesterday, but it's been in use with about the same setup for about 6 months without any problems like this.
