Well, 3050 is the default port for Firebird(*), so it should be listening
there.
Depending on the installation either directly or over (x)inetd.
*) Not to be confused with Firefox...

I ran "service xinetd status" and it is running.
I did a netstat -an | grep LIST
It says it is listing on 0.0.0.0 3050
I see other services as 127.0.0.1 xxxx
I am still unable to attach to the FB server remotely. I get a
"connection rejected by remote interface"
There is no firewall turned on the host server or the guest.
What is my next step? Thanks.
