Can you boot it paravirtualized, just to check the logs?

How can I boot an i386 guest paravirtualized if my host system is x86_64? The host has no 32 bit libraries installed. Is it enough to install a xen enabled i686 kernel for the host system? Or do you mean the guest system logs? I can check these by booting with qemu.
