Hello,

i've a problem with smbfs in domU - maybe anyone can give me a hint ...

I'm using xen 3.0.2 (installed yesterday from xen-3.0.2-install-x86_64.tgz). Kernel is 2.6.16-xen. I'm using this kernel for dom0 and domU.
I try to mount a samba-share on a remote machine, but the monut request failes with this error message:

[root@xen ~]# mount -t smbfs //192.168.100.100/files /tmp/r -oip=192.168.100.100
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on //192.168.100.100/files,
or too many mounted file system

Syslog says:

xen kernel: smbfs: mount_data version 826110057 is not supported

This happens in dom0 and domU.

A "modprobe smbfs" succeeds without problems.

According to the mailing list, smbfs should be working with xen 3.0.2 ... so what do i miss?

Thanks for any hints!

Christian
