Hello,

I am having problem building xen tools from xen-unstable on x86_64.  The problem is same as described in http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2005-03/msg00971.html but I am not trying to cross compile for 64-bit platform.

Here is the error I get:

[root@dhcppc1 python]# pwd
/root/xen/tools/python
[root@dhcppc1 python]# make
CFLAGS="-O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -DNDEBUG -m64 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wdeclaration-after-statement  -D__XEN_TOOLS__" python setup.py build
running build
running build_py
running build_ext
building 'xc' extension
gcc -pthread -fno-strict-aliasing -DNDEBUG -O2 -g -pipe -Wall -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -m64 -mtune=generic -D_GNU_SOURCE -fPIC -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -DNDEBUG -m64 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wdeclaration-after-statement -D__XEN_TOOLS__ -fPIC -I../../tools/libxc -I../../tools/xenstore -Ixen/lowlevel/xc -I/usr/include/python2.4 -c xen/lowlevel/xc/xc.c -o build/temp.linux-x86_64- 2.4/xen/lowlevel/xc/xc.o -fno-strict-aliasing -Wall -Werror
In file included from /usr/include/python2.4/Python.h:55,
                 from xen/lowlevel/xc/xc.c:7:
/usr/include/python2.4/pyport.h:612:2: error: #error "LONG_BIT definition appears wrong for platform (bad gcc/glibc config?)."
error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1
make: *** [build] Error 1

It is same when I explicitly use XEN_TARGET_ARCH=x86_64

Currently I am running 64-bit FC5:
[root@dhcppc1 python]# uname -a
Linux bluebox 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 #1 SMP Tue Mar 14 15:48:20 EST 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

My architecture is:
[root@dhcppc1 python]# cat /proc/cpuinfo

cpu family      : 15
model           : 39

Do anyone else face same problems on x86_64 platform?

Thanks.
