Dear All,

I was new in Xen software, I would like to use Xen as a backup server. When
the production server was down, the backup server would takeover by using mx
record. It this will be going to work.

Maybe using an dns mx record isn't the best idea to get high
availability, because dns records usually need some time to
communicate through the internet until every host has th new adress.
You'd better explore other HA solutions I guess.

Second I do follow the step on setup the Xen by source code on RHEL4, But I
don't know how to setup the other end. Is that I need to install linux, and
setup xen as like main server.

Its not easy to understand what you mean with this question - what do
you mean by "the other end"? Do you mean the system that is referred
to as domU in the xen context?

There should be enough pointers on setting up domU's in the wiki -
wiki.xensource.com. And then, there's google which should help you
find even more...

Henning
