Re: [Xen-users] Various Problems on dom0 Compilation
Yeah, I used to get this a lot. I have a 29160 on one of my systems
and I always set up raids on them.
When compiling the kernel, I recommend that you statically build in
the drivers for adaptec (AIC7xxxx, I believe), as well as RAID, RAID0
and RAID1.
Then whether you run a initrd or not, you should be able to boot up
and have your kernel recognize and mount the root drive.

Hi everyone.
I have some problems every time i compile the kernel for xen dom0.
First at all, every the time i need to do the make menuconfig to
change
the CPU detected con .config file, because always says i have an AMD
Opteron, but the true is i have an Intel Pentium D 830 CPU (something
weird at all).
Then i save the new .config and i when i set 'make world
XEN_COMPILE_ARCH=x86_32' apears some questions about .config needed
parameters, not found in .config file. (another weird thing).
The last problem is when i install the new kernel for dom0, always
goes to
panic, the boot device is an md (linux software) RAID 1 over 2 SCSI
hard
disc 18GB quantum, attached over an Adaptec 29160.
every time apears on tty0 : PANIC, UNABLE TO MOUNT bla bla bla bla...
then reboots the xen dom0..
some ideas???
