Running Samba in a DomU has revealed one potential Samba bug or problem.

I'm using a Windows NT 4.0 PDC & BDC (though I have plans to migrate soon to OpenLDAP+Samba) for the Windows domain.

Even though I fixed the MAC address, I usually have to delete /var/lib/samba/winbindd_idmap.tdb file and restart winbind to make the shares accessible to the PCs. There seems to be some kind of thing changing when a DomU reboots that Samba depends upon, which affects the idmap lookup.

Suggestions?
