Hi Ted,

You know how it works: no pain, no gain! :-)
I've installed the RPMs, but just to see how it goes on my machines.
Regarding my grid and virtual machines project, I have a set of different
models of HP Vectra workstations and HP NetServers E60/E800 (I guess I'm
only allocating about four E60s to this test).

These E60s are dual 550MHz with 1 GB of RAM.

I'll try to test the FC4 SMB guest and physical device swaps to see what
happens, but I'm not sure what I will be looking for by allowing xend to
bring the bridge up. Can you help me on that?

Best Regards,
--

Don't use the FC4 rpms unless you want aggravation :-)

I have FC4 and xen working very nicely, some minor quirks and some of
which may be disk IO related.

1) I had to create bridge for eth1 with xend not running
2) Can't get gentoo or debiam images to use physical device for swap
3) Can't get FC4 SMP guest, am fairly certain I had this at one time :-)

The other stuff is very minor, such as init 0's not always terminating
guest, bringing up domU occasionally fails etc.

Use the unstable tar ball or the hg tree for best results.

Regards,
Ted
