Thanks to you and Fernando, that was really the problem. However it seems 
a little bit strange that the User Guide at 
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/Research/SRG/netos/xen/readmes/user/user.html
gives examples using the "xxxM" notation.

I think a user guide should actually give examples which work.
