> What is ioemu and how is it used in the context of xen?

Ioemu provides software simulations of common PC devices (network cards, disk
controllers, etc.). It is based on the device code in the Bochs emulator
(http://bochs.sf.net).

Ioemu is used only on machines with Intels' Vanderpool extensions (you can't
buy them yet). It is required for full virtualisation of guests that haven't
been ported to run on Xen, to provide them with the illusion of a complete
set of PC devices.

HTH,
Mark
