[Xen-ia64-devel] Was there a change in xen-3.2-rc5? boot messages not showing up to console

Did something change between xen-3.2-unstable rc4 and rc5 with the console output handling?

I am running two NEC Itanium boxes, both with the latest CentOS-4.6 for IA64.

I set up xen-3.2-rc (on the one machine with rc4 and the other set up as of today with rc5).

The relevant elilo stanzas look like this:

  vmm=xen-3.2.gz
  label=xen32
  initrd=initrd-2.6.18.8.img
  read-only
  root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
  append="com1=115200,8n1 -- xencons=ttyS0 console=ttyS0 root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00"

On the machine with xen-3.2-rc4, I see the normal Xen bootup messages. On the rc5 machine, I see no bootup messages, but the machine does come up.

I am very puzzled.

Any ideas?
