Hi,

I investigated on the bugzilla bug #736 that creating Domain-VTi failed
with a memory allocation error when you repeated create/destroy many
times. Situation is the same on Domain-U though this is not reported
in #736. I would like to share information on this issue.

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=736

I found that copy_from_guest in do_mem_op@xen/common/memory.c failed
and returned a non-zero value. 'xm create' reports 'Cannot allocate
memory' because of this non-zero value.

Please see "[Xen-ia64-devel] [PATCH][RFC] copy_from/to_guest" and its
follow ups.

Tristan is porting xencomm to ia64. I expect very much that the
xencomm porting patch will get rid of this problem, too.

Best,

Hiroya
