Wether or not is this correct is a question.
The fact is that the first 8 MADT entries correspond to 6 enabled cpus and 2 
disabled cpus.  Linux consider the 2 disabled cpus as cpus.
I suppose you could start these 2 additionnal cpus using the vcpu hotplug 
feature:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuN/online
