Xen has been available for ia64 in xen-unstable since early
2005, was included in the Xen 3.0 release and is in every
Xen 3.0.x release. If you download the Xen 3.0.2 source
bits to an ia64 box, you can build and run Xen/ia64.

Could you explain further? The core Xen patches for Linux/ia64
have been stable since last summer. There are driver-related
patches that are still evolving, but that is also true of the
patches for Xen/x86, which is already in Fedora.

I'm not claiming Xen/ia64 is "done" but it would be useful
to have a dialog between the Fedora-ia64 team and the Xen/ia64
community to understand what you/Fedora view as
missing or incomplete so the Xen/ia64 community doesn't
accidentally ignore something that you/Fedora view as
critical.

Hopefully this cross-posted message can serve as a basenote
for this dialog.
