I'm sorry for my delay reply.

I also used Fred's patch.
And I also could not boot completely with vmm=, image=, initrd=.
I am trying to debug this point.

I confirmed I could boot the following point in nash.

    execv(initargs[0], initargs);   <----call /sbin/init and hangup :-<
    printf("exec of init (%s) failed!!!: %d\n", initargs[0], errno);
    return 1;
