Dear Alan,

When I extracted the vga bios for my nvidia geforce 8400 gs, i went into BIOS to set PEG as the primary video adapter. Then I booted using nvidia gfx and extracted the vga bios using nvflash.exe.

I believe it is possible to use a hex editor to examine the vga firmware file to see if it's the vga bios for nvidia.

If that was your boot video device. To extract the video BIOS for the
Nvidia you either need to map it and read it out or boot with the Nvidia
as the boot video device to acquire it and then switch back. That ought
to work.
