Thread-topic: Newbie questions -- how to setup virtual IDTs ?

I am new to Linux kernel. I am trying to port a driver that

sets up IDT to register interrupt handlers from hardware counters.

I want to modify the driver to run in host OS(Xen).

What should I do ? what files do I look at ?

Thanks for all your help

 shobha
