Perhaps you and Brian could post some suggested patches?

It would certainly be easier if the tools could be made to run
standalone, but I guess we could setup a Debian box if need be --
it'll just be harder to integrate into the nightly build.

I'd certainly like to see .deb's and .rpm's available for
download from the main site. I'd prefer to have them generated
automatically from the nightly build, otherwise it'll be a hassle
whenever we do a point release (every few weeks).

In the mean time, to get them wider testing, if we need to link
to them from our downloads page or host them, so be it.
