[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1341] New: Jumbo frame support
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1341
Summary: Jumbo frame support
Product: Xen
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Hypervisor
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: ganto82@xxxxxx
So far it's possible to use Jumbo frames when manually setting the MTU size of
the virtual interface of a domU after creation (only tried with PV hosts). If
also the physical interface on dom0 and the interface of the guest supports it,
it's possible to send Jumbo frames to the outer world.
But still it's not possible to send Jumbo frames between two domUs inside the
same dom0. Even when both vifs and the guests are configured to use Jumbo
frames. I tried with Xen-3.2.0 but also couldn't find anything related in the
Xen-3.3.0 changelog. Could you please have a look at this?
Many applications especially all kind of network storages would heavily profit
from Jumbo frame support.
