Well if I read you correctly, you did reproduce the problem on 2.6.15.4, so the
problem is not Xen specific. you should ask on XFS mailing list. Feel free to
reopen this bug, if it is Xen specific.

For the record, you can run out of memory with 2.5g of ram, depends of what you
are doing. Plus it depends actually on how much memory you assign to your guest,
not your total memory.
