Summary: No PCI bus with Xen kernel on SiS motherboard
           Product: Xen
           Version: 3.0.1
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux-2.6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Hardware Support
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: winston@xxxxxxxxxx

I just installed Fedora Core 5 Test 3 on my computer. With the normal kernel,
everthing works fine, but when I boot into the xen-hypervisor kernel, kudzu
crashes and eth0 won't come up -- it says no such device. USB ports don't work
either, under the xen kernel. The same thing also happened when I used the Xen
3.0 Demo CD.

I think the problem has something to do with PCI under the xen kernel. Running
lspci under the xen kernel returns absolutely nothing, and there is nothing in
/proc/pci either. This happens with both the stock (in FC5-T3) 1955 kernel and
the updated 2009 kernel.

It's a desktop system with a mobile Athlon XP 2800+ on a PC Chips motherboard,
with a SiS 760 GX northbridge and a SiS 964 southbridge. When I moved the hard
drive to a Dell GX270, the PCI bus worked fine.

Someone else reported the same problem here:

===============================================
This is the output when I run on the non-xen kernel (the xen-hypervisor kernel
simply returns nothing for lspci):
