Summary: Packets sent by dom0 to domU lost in domU between
                    acceptance and userspace delivery
           Product: Xen
           Version: 3.0.0
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Guest-OS
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: craig@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The domU seems to be losing packets that are sent to it by the dom0 over a
bridge. It loses all such packets, but they are not dropped (or at least, not
shown as dropped) by the network layer. They simply vanish at some point between
being picked up by libpcap (if monitoring) and being delivered to userspace
apps.

This issue only affects packets sent by dom0 to a domU. It does not affect
traffic from the domU to dom0, a domU to another domU, or from either a dom0 or
domU to another host.

The domU correctly recieves and replies to ICMP messages such as echo requests.
The issue seems to be higher in the stack.

I'll attach a file containing a large pile of collected information and a more
detailed report.
