This problem may be very configuration-specific, so here's my setup: SLES9 SP2 with 2.0.7 compiled from the source tarball (gcc 3.3.3, vanilla kernel config) 2x2.6GHz Xeon, no hyperthreading. SCSI: Adaptec AIC-7902B ethernet: Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5721.
