[Xen-bugs] [Bug 76] New: dom0 ACPI causes device freezing
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=76
Summary: dom0 ACPI causes device freezing
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux-2.6
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Guest-OS
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: aliguori@xxxxxxxxxx
CC: hohnbaum@xxxxxxxxxx
Symptoms
Since the introduction of dom0 ACPI support, xmms (an audio player) would
randomly stop playing (although remained responsive). Even after restarting the
application, it would no longer be able to play audio.
Within the past two weeks, the problem has become more common and now when audio
stops working, the network interfaces also stop working. The problem usually
occurs after playing sound for a few hours.
Platform
Xen-unstable from 20050613 back to Arun's initial patches. The test machine is
a IBM Thinkpad T41p and the ibm-acpi module is loaded in dom0. I'll also attach
the kernel config.
Advice on how to track this problem down would be appreciated.
