[Xen-bugs] [Bug 63] New: Xen installs qemu components in improper direct
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=63
Summary: Xen installs qemu components in improper directory
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: blocker
Priority: P2
Component: Unspecified
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: shap@xxxxxxxxxxx
I'm not sure if this one is a xen bug or Fedora brainlessness, but if it started
here it needs to be fixed.
The Fedora xen rpm installs a bunch of stuff borrowed from the qemu distribution
into /usr/share/qemu/. There is no problem with borrowing this stuff, but it
must NOT be installed in /usr/share/qemu/. Using /usr/share/qemu/ makes it
impossible to simultaneously install Xen and Qemu.
Use /usr/share/xen/ or /usr/share/xen/qemu/ if you like, but keep the xen files
where they belong! :-)
This is a blocker because I'm completely borked until its resolved, and it is
breaking the Coyotos build. I'm going to have to deinstall xen completely until
this is resolved.
