Hi,

I haven't used OpenFiler before but I am very familiar with Xen on
Debian Squeeze.

Firstly I think have you misspelt hvc0 in the extra line of your config file.
Secondly you should modify initab so that it spawns the getty on hvc0 not xvc0.

The reason the kernel is panicing is that it is unable to bind to a
console to continue booting.
Changing everything to hvc0 should alleviate this problem.
