Actually, as I understand, Xen 3.4 is used in XCP, and maintained (bugfixes/security), but no new features added.

Actually, I can say Xen 3.4 is most stable right now (I don't saw any hand up many servers in product within last or this year, compare to Xen 4, where I cough some hangs last summer).

I want to know has the development of following kernel being stopped?

If you visit the URL and see log (age)... there are changes two days ago.  So from this it isn't stopped and still under maintenance.  Unless PVOPS kernel been well tested and claimed to be very stable but from wiki (http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenParavirtOps) it isn't claimed to be very stable yet.

If I am not mistaken to be able to use the above kernel I should be
using Gentoo patches and Xen-3 with it.

Depends on whether you install from source or from vendor package management.  The above kernel aka XenLinux suppose to work on any xen versions 3 and 4 not just Xen version 3.  Xen version 3 as in 3.0.x or 3.3.x or 3.4.x or ... ...?  Anyway, from my understanding or reading from past mails in xen-devel mailing list, xen version 3 is no longer under maintenance.

Someone correct me if I am wrong about any of the above.

Thanks.

Kindest regards,
Giam Teck Choon
