Post a link to download XenCenter 5.6 FP1 and I am sure a lot more people will be willing to help do beta testing of it with XCP 1.0 beta.  I have XenCenter 5.6 (build 31188) installed on an old Windows workstation.  That build is too old to use with XCP 1.0 beta.  When I select Help->Check for Updates, it tells me XenCenter is up to date.

Yes, you'll need the most recent version of XenCenter - in fact, the as-yet-unreleased 5.6 FP1 version. I believe the beta of FP1 is still available, but if not, I'm sure we can provide binaries for XCP beta testers.

Nothing should happen as a result of the license expiry - it's a residual warning and should be ignored.

I have been successfully managing an XCP 1.0 beta server using XenCenter version 5.6 Feature Pack 1 (build 37617).

However, when I start XenCenter I get a pop up License Manager window listing the XCP 1.0 beta server and saying that I need to either assign XenServer licenses, or activate Free XenServer products. The "Activate Free XenServer" option is grayed out, so I don't know what will happen when the license expires in 27 days.

Most of the functions of XenCenter are working with XCP with the exception of the Performance tab. Instead of getting graphs, I get an assertion failure pop up (at ArchiveMaintainer.GetHost(IXenObject xmo).

Could you please then answer the OP:

I get the same error!

Actually, XCP 1.0 beta is supposed to work with XenCenter from Citrix.  XCP 0.5 definitely did not support XenCenter and XCP 0.5 required the use of the one you linked to.

Hi,
You need to use the https://sourceforge.net/projects/openxenmanager/files/

Best Regards,

Hello,

I have seen this announcement of XCP beta 1:

http://blog.xen.org/index.php/2010/11/24/the-xen-cloud-platform-xcp-1-0-beta-is-available-from-xen-org/

       Between its features:

Xen-3.4.2
Linux-2.6.32
VMPR – VM protection and recovery (scheduled backup of VMs via snapshot/export)
XenCenter integration
...

I'm interested about trying this beta, because one reason because of we are using XenServer of Citrix (its free version) is XenCenter (XCP didn't have any graphic console working reasonable well).

But I can't use XenCenter (version 5.6). I get the error that XenCenter is outdated.

Any idea? Is it really integrated? Do I need a specific version of XenCenter?
