Re: [Xen-users] Scrubbing free ram... reboots
| | Yes, I tried with "nosmp" and dom0_max_vcpus
equal to 1, 2 and 4. And I get the same result. The machine is a
dual quad core (with hyperthreading 16vcpus) and 32GB RAM. I don't
know where is the problem but it's curious that the problem
happens when I decrease dom0_mem under the half of total memory.
Each quad core has 4 dimms of 4GB each (total 16GB), could be
possible tha if I decrease dom0_mem under 16GB one physical
      processor runs out of memory?

Could be possible a bug while xen is scrubbing 16GB of free ram?

It's possible to skip this part (scrubbing free ram) to test if
      the problems continue?

 Thanks,
 Quimi

 Hi,
I'm testing a Debian Squeeze with Xen 4.0.1 in a machine with
32GB of RAM. If I setup dom0_mem=16G or less, I get a backtrace
during "scrubbinf free ram" and then reboots.

Is there any limitation in the amount of free ram? I googled a
lot and I didn't find thje solution, any idea?

 Thanks in advance,

 Quimi
