There is different way to manage.

1. Extract official 4.0 tarball.

   Compile & install xen,tools.stubdom
   make install-xen
   make install-tools
   make install-stubdom

Git clone JF's repo:-

# git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jeremy/xen.git linux-2.6-xen
# cd linux-2.6-xen
# git branch -r

And checkout for instance :

# git checkout -b xen/stable  origin/xen/stable

Running "make world" you would probably have to checkout xen/master,
either you want this  branch or  don't.

Boris.

Hi all,

finally i solved the problem by manually executing the download of the
source and patching the script
xen-4.0-testing.hg/buildconfigs/src.git-clone:

[...]
$(LINUX_SRCDIR)/.valid-src: $(__XEN_LINUX_UPDATE)
        set -ex; \
        if ! [ -d $(LINUX_SRCDIR) ]; then \
                cd $(LINUX_SRCDIR).tmp; \
                mv $(LINUX_SRCDIR).tmp $(LINUX_SRCDIR); \
        fi
[...]

Thanks and regards,
FG

Hi Pasi,

Thanks a lot for your answer. My git version is: 1.5.2.1

I'm new to git. Should I do something before executing "make world"? Am I
missing something?

Thanks in advantage.

Best regards,
FG
