Hi Pasi,

The redhat/centos bug:
http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=4163
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=485903

OpenSuSE bug:
I had problems with following bugs:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558663 - I have to check if it solved https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=551664 - under OpenSuSE 11.2 you can only install 11.2 with a trick (setting the iso as disk) And as the last entry suggest me it is still not solved, but as I check there some newer kernels available. (2.6.31.12)
I will check tomorrow with a fresh install if the problems are solved...

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=570371 - I am using pv guest so no prob now And there was some bug with not starting X - I am not using X on the server so no prob now (X server runs on my laptop),

I see some new bugs witch are not confirmed:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=581271
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=568574
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=573305

RHEL 6 will support KVM in first place but I think the xen support will be remaining somehow... At least I hope so...

So the servers are now planned to run for 4 years, maybe the disks will be changed. (They will be migrated from a running sytem). Most I have not to modify my systems till the next migration, but the testing period is longer before, so I use at most stable tested systems with known bugs to avoid further work, it worked for me, I had only hw issues, minimal maintenance effort :) I had no problems with 11.1 so far, only the very short support period. And this shortened period is crazy... Even for desktop systems is too short. So that why I decided to look for another Distro. Maybe I need a lot of scripts still it works like I want:) But as I tested so far it is not so easy to find a rock solid one... So mainly I looking for stable kernels and newer use daily build or the latest ones... Every third bugfix or enhancement causes a new bug :) I leave time for others to find the new bug and a solution for it ;)

Thanks
Udo
