[Xen-users] RE: DomU not reporting correct ram size
Would I still need to apply the xen patches? I thought i read some where on xen.org that it's no longer necessary to apply the xen patches for domU guests.

to add to this...
I think the issue is with xen-balloon driver and the newer kernels. I say this for when I compile the kernels without xen-balloon driver I get domU reporting memory of 497. When I compile with xen-ballon I get 522. I have tested this on several domU's across several distro's.
Does anyone have any idea?

hey all,
I have managed to compile my own versions of kernels from kernel.org. All goes well and the domU's can boot fine.
My issue is that I'm unable to get the domU to display the correct memory.
An example.
Kernel 2.6.32.7 shows 497MB of ram. Same amount confirmed when i cat /proc/meminfo. The vm .cfg file says 512. xm list show 512 as well.
Kernel 2.6.31.12 shows 522 of ram. Same amount confirmed when i cat /proc/meminfo. The vm .cfg file says 512. xm list show 512 as well.
Did I miss something in my kernel compile?
