Having now sorted my issues with CentOS 5.2 and Xen3.3, it really helps to be booting from the right kernel :-(

I can run 2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.PAE on xen 3.3 with the 2.6.18 CentOS kernel so the issue with the invalid instruction on FC8 would appear to be something related to xen 3.1.2-5

Anyway progress. I can use the fc8 DomU kernel on the production servers until I can get them upgraded (downgraded - depends on ones point of view ) from FC8 to CentOS 5.2
