There are RDMA ISCSI drivers about, if your network card supports this
then using RDMA could yield a pretty big performance increase for this
sort of thing (It skips large chunks for the networking stack).

Hello,

        As far as I know there is the limit 100Mbit at least for the hvm
guests... OK, now we have been spoken about the PV guests, it is true
:-)

there's no 'hard' limit of DomU network performance.  but it's usually
much lower than block device performance.
