it seems this error is caused by the aoe module (v22) from linux kernel 2.6.18 
in combination with 32 bit domU on 64 bit dom0. Using the aoe devices 
directly doesn't cause this error message.

With the newest aoe module (v63) from coraid this error message is gone.
