DomU with four cpus (each from different core)
 real    6m19.300s
DomU with one cpu
 real 3m32.651s
Dom0
 real    2m37.418s

Did you try a process that was less io intensive? It would be worthwhile
to see if the bottleneck is cpu or io.

what's the best way ? vmstat, iostat or something  else.?
