Pygrub:

name = 'fedora8'
memory = 120
disk = [ 'phy:mapper/mainvg-domu_fedora8_root,xvda1,w',
        'phy:mapper/mainvg-domu_fedora8_swap,xvda2,w' ]
vif = [ 'mac=00:16:3e:1b:b2:f8, bridge=xenbr0, vifname=v-fedora8' ]
bootloader = '/usr/lib/xen-3.0.3-1/bin/pygrub'

(same thing works fine for centos5)

All Etch kernels and hypervisor are PAE, and I thought that Fedora
kernels were too.

How did you install the fedora kernel into the image? I have a debian sid box that i just setup and can try to test.
