Same thing here, when finally succeded in booting a FC3 domU under FC6.
Solved by replacing the initrd with the one created directly from the
domU instead of using the Fedora kernel-bundled one.

 You need to add a kill nash-hotplug inside the init-scripts of the domUs. Or 
just handcraft the initrd to not use it or kill it before switching to the 
actual kernel.
