Unfortunately there is no qemu process running in the Dom0 for this instance.  It seems to be orphaned somewhere in the process list.

Any ideas on how to kill this zombie.  I can't even see it's head to

shoot at it!

I had the same problem once, seems qemu-dm processes in dom0 are not being destroyed.  See this archive thread:
