Re: [Xen-users] Blank Screen on Boot

 Turns out this problem isn't exclusive to Xen kernels as someone on one

display under text mode, X will work.
Hi,
When I boot a Xen kernel either from Debian Etch or FC6 the screen
goes blank shortly after loading the kernel. The system otherwise
boots as normal. Under FC6 X (xorg) then loads and the screen comes
back but this hasn't happened with Etch.
I'm not using the onboard graphics card, instead an dual head matrox
PCIe.
I've tried setting vga=normal in GRUB.

To try, in no order, are:
* rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf - and let X autoconfigure
* vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf - and use a lower resolution, 800x600, until you
fix the xorg.conf
* just edit xorg.conf and read the X logs to debug xorg.conf as normal.
So in short it is working by just configuring X properly - still can't
text mode working ...
