[Xen-users] Xen 3.0.2 on Debian - networking within and without the DomU
Now that I have a booting xen box my networking within
the domU is a little screwing.
The xend-config.sxp file in my install comes with the
(network-script network-dummy) uncommented. So I
followed JD's guide and created the bridge in the
interfaces file as such
auto xen-br0
iface xen-br0 inet static
address 192.168.10.26
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.10.1
bridge_ports eth0
bridge_maxwait 0
when I do brctl show all it only shows eth0 and no
other virtual interface.
in the domU what used to work ifce eth0 inet static
fails with:
Reconfiguring network interfaces...Ignoring unknown
interface veth0=veth0.
ifup: interface lo already configured
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such
device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such
device
Failed to bring up eth0.
done.
and ifconfig -a shows:
ifconfig -a
