Have a look to this article I've spotted time ago.. maybe you can go
back to people who wrote the article (ok, I know they used RedHat, but...)

Hope this help

Hello,
I'm trying to get working xen on dell poweredge 2850 with two Intel(R)
Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz using gentoo amd64 distribution settings.

When boot with gentoo sources 2.6.16-genoo-r13 or gentoo kernel sources
2.6.17, cat /proc/cpuinfo show me:

flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge
mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm syscall
nx lm constant_tsc pni monitor ds_cpl cid cx16 xtpr

But with xen kernel (I've tried install xen according to
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Xen_and_Gentoo) it didn't show vme support.
I copied .config from my gentoo sources (where vme works) to xen sources
and configure xen support in kernel. But it did't help. I cannot see any
VM messages in xm dmesg and so.

After it I read instructions on xen web site and I used xen tgz file
from official download, but with same result.

Always when I tried create WinXP host it return an error. I found on
this list that error means vme is not supported by cpu. :-( But I cannot
get vme working with xen kernels.

Please, can anyone help me make it working properly ?

Thanks a lot for support
Martin Polehla
