after my successful installation of several domU, I've got one problem

this problem?

i haven't tried it on Xen, but i think the 'special' needs of netatalk
are related to the AppleTalk protocol over Ethernet. you set afpd to use only TCP, even disable the appletalk protocol in the kernel. these days even
Apple makes AppleTalk optional for AppleShare.

yes I know, but we are using several old Apple Systems (Imagesetter, Printers) so I need the "normal" afpd :(

One other approach could be to use a MacOS X Server machine to do the print spooling for the PAP devices. Then your xen guests could use standard TCP/IP without multicast.
