This can't be the problem.

(iptables on dom0)
blackhat2:~# iptables --list
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination


(iptables on domU)
blackhat2web:~# iptables --list
FATAL: Module ip_tables not found.
iptables v1.2.11: can't initialize iptables table `filter': iptables who?
(do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.
