Hi,

I'm glad that there are SUSE 9.2 RPMs at available
at http://www.suse.de/~garloff/linux/xen/
and I could successfully start some XEN domains
after spending some time to find out that I really need
the ide-disk module in /etc/sysconfig/kernel to avoid
kernel panics during startup (I had to read the README.SuSE..)

Unfortunately my printing is broken now. I get the lpstat
message "Unable to locate printer .. Host name lookup failure"
and I suspect this message is misleading as the rest of
my network works fine.

Instead I assume the problem has something to do with the
dozens of "modprobe: FATAL: error inserting .../8250.ko
device or resource busy" scrolling through the boot sequence.
/var/log/boot.omsg contains:
...
<4>Linux version 2.6.11.4-21-xen (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 3.3.5
20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)) #1 Fri Apr 1 10:21:56 UTC 2005
...
<6>Freeing unused kernel memory: 128k freed
<6>Serial: 8250/16550 driver $Revision: 1.90 $ 48 ports, IRQ sharing enabled
... (second line show up 23 times)
...
Boot logging started on /dev/tty1(/dev/console) at Tue Apr 5 17:16:31 2005

<notice>run boot scripts (setserial boot.proc)
modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting 8250
(/lib/modules/2.6.11.4-21-xen/kernel/drivers/serial/8250.ko): Device or
resource busy

Is there something special to do in order to get 2.6.11.4-21-xen
running together with cups?

Thanks in advance,
Friedl
